Stem To Stern has a complete training and instruction syllabus covering every aspect of boating in the Bay Area and beyond. Every class is personally arranged with the student in mind. Our classes are designed to fit your educational needs. Stem to Stern Instructor/Captains will be giving personalized instructions in safe boat handling and operation whether you, the student is new to boating or trying to improve your current knowledge. We will assist you in gaining the confidence you desire.
Basic and Advanced boating clinics.
Basic:
The basic Clinic will enable you to begin building a firm foundation of safe boating skills. From learning what to do before leaving the dock to “putting her to bed”, this knowledge is vital to your safety and enjoyment.
Lessons and topics are broken down into 2 categories, Dockside and Underway.
Advanced:
After learning the basic, foundational knowledge, we can move onto the advanced stages of boating. You may know how to find your position on a chart. Now you will learn how to plot your course, include wind and current corrections, and give a proper ETA to your destination. These advanced clinics are designed to create an “experienced boater". In this training we will create the mindset of a “prudent mariner” and build the relationship between you and your boat that makes boating the enjoyable adventure it should be.

Leaving the dock Throttle control Stopping distance

Man over board Fire on board Flooding
Collision Going aground Mayday

Local and Coastal Delivery
Local:
Inside the Bay area and local coastal deliveries.
Local delivery is described as any destination that can be reached in one day including transportation of delivering crew.
Hourly rates apply for Local deliveries.
Most commonly, all port from Monterey to Bodega Bay and parts of the Delta are included in Local delivery depending on weather conditions and vessel speed.
This will typically include offshore delivery and ownership transfers at the Sea Buoy.
Coastal:
Mexico, CA, OR, WA, Canada...
Out of state purchases. Mexico runs. Vacation delivery. What ever reason you have for wanting your boat delivered to a destination any where along the coast, Stem to Stern will make all necessary arrangements for travel from where your boat is now to where you want it to be.
Delivery cost includes all expenses during the trip including transportation for delivering crew.
Daily rates apply to Coastal delivery
